EXPERIENCED
Ms. Gildner is a criminal defense lawyer who is Of Counsel with Barnett Howard & Williams PLLC. Cami teamed up with BHW after spending nearly a decade as a prosecutor with the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office and the Denton County District Attorney’s Office. She has tried over 120 jury trials in both felony and misdemeanor courtrooms. She has extensive knowledge of how criminal cases are investigated by law enforcement and how they are prosecuted by the State. During her tenure as a prosecutor she developed a specialization in victim-based crimes, including family violence offenses and sex crimes. Cami’s deep institutional knowledge is an asset to her clients. Cami understands that the criminal justice system can be intimidating and isolating to those charged with a crime. She takes the time to get to know her clients and to make sure they understand the process every step of the way.
ACCOMPLISHED
Ms. Gildner graduated from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee with a degree in neuropsychology. She received a Masters in Liberal Arts from Texas Christian University. She then received her juris doctor with honors from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. While in law school, she studied international criminal law in Oxford, England. She won a coveted internship with the United States Attorney’s Office in their criminal division where she was able to assist with criminal cases affecting interstate commerce. She also participated in four national trial advocacy competitions, including two in Washington DC.
GROUNDED
Cami Gildner is the fourth generation of her family to be raised in Fort Worth, Texas. Her deep love of community inspires her to support the local arts thru the Van Cliburn Association and the Junior Women’s Club. She is the mother of three young children who keep her busy, but when she has free time she enjoys painting florals and landscapes in watercolor. She and her family attend First United Methodist Church in downtown Fort Worth.
